Sam’s Love is a non-profit organization that was started in honor of our son, Samuel Beckett Honaker.

What We Do

We provide baby books tailored for families walking through stillbirth, pregnancy loss and infant loss at no cost. Currently we supply St. Francis Medical Center, Glenwood Regional Medical Center, Ochsner LSU Monroe Medical Center, Morehouse General Hospital, Northern Louisiana Medical Center, Christus Mother Francis Hospital (TX), and Deaconess Henderson Hospital (KY).

We also ship individually requested books through our social media platforms and website.

Mission

Our mission is to provide parents walking through stillbirth, pregnancy and infant loss a space to remember, celebrate and share with others their most precious child.

1 Samuel 1:27 & Jeremiah 1:5

Our Goals

Our goals at Sam’s Love are to increase the quality of bereavement care for families walking through stillbirth/infant loss through our books. We aim to give parents the autonomy and confidence to advocate for themselves during their bereavement care through our handout that is provided with each book.

We also have a long term goal to present a plan to local and state representatives to try and change the staggering stillbirth rate in the US. 1 in 160 pregnancies in the US end in stillbirth, one of the highest rates among developed countries, and we want to decrease this number.
