Sam’s Love went to Washington DC alongside Healthy Birthday Inc. to advocate for the SHINE for Autumn Act and the Stillbirth Prevention Act.

I was invited to share my story and education background with several US Senators to advocate for funding for further research on preventable stillbirth and to change wording within current bills/legislature to include stillbirth as a topic for money allocation. We were able to get the stillbirth prevention act signed by President Joe Biden on July 12th, 2024! This is HUGE and helps shine a light on the staggering stillbirth rate in America. Our next steps are to get the SHINE for Autumn Act passed! We are working toward this goal and will re-visit DC if necessary and funding allows.
